Sales Representative, Inside
Job Summary:
Sells product and services by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects. Writes, processes, and expedites orders. Typical duties; telephones prospective customers and solicits business. Maintains contact with existing and potential customers. Informs customers of supply and price trends and prepare quotations. Negotiates prices with customers, within established limits. Secures, writes and reviews orders. Keeps records, maintains customer files, and makes reports on all phases of activities including sales recaps and forecasting. Handles customer service issues, resolves complaints concerning invoicing, shipping, or product problems. Assists the credit department obtaining information from customers and communicating acceptance/denial of credit terms.
Job Requirements:
Good knowledge of sales and marketing practices, techniques and administration. Good knowledge of division products, or the ability to acquire it rapidly. Knowledge of automated data handling systems from a user’s perspective. Ability to function on a team and to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain accurate and complete records. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and company personnel. Desirable experience& training; Completion of four years of college level course work equivalent to a B.S. in Marketing and sales experience is a plus; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
