A few years ago someone sent me a package at Christmas by FEDEX. The tracking said it was delivered to my doorstep. It wasn't there when I got home so I figured some kid probably helped himself to the package. I was pissed. The person who sent me the package got reimbursed by FEDEX for the delivery cost. The package showed up 3 months later and no one could explain where it had been all that time.

FEDEX used to leave stuff at my door. I lived on the first floor of an apartment complex. My packages were just asking to get stolen.

Check neighbors' doorsteps. Fedex routinely leaves packages at the house across the street from me. It's only a few per year, but if it says delivered and it's not there, I usually look across the street...and there it is. I just casually walk across the street and pick it up.

FEDEX rarely ever leaves a note saying if they left the packages somewhere else. I hate dealing with FEDEX. I have much better experiences with UPS and even USPS.

Fedex called back and said it was delivered to a house number that is across the street.

My wife knocked on their door earlier in the day, no answer. I went by this evening, and sure enough, there's the TV inside their doorstep.

I guess the neighbors couldn't be bothered to let us know in a timely manner. Grrrrr.

The entire thing is just a prescription for high blood pressure.

Same issue with Fedex about 3 weeks ago. Bought a $300 digital camera off Amazon. Said it was delivered and no where to be found. Called Fedex and the rep didn't seem to care. Had to scream and get a manager on the phone who called the driver. He dropped it 1/2 way down the street @ # 58. We are # 43. Not sure how the driver missed it but when he came back he said "sorry I was in a hurry and didn't look at the house #". Awesome, thanks for caring Fedex. I haven't had any issues with UPS and they deliver a lot to my house. It's scary when you buy an expensive package and its no where to be found.

I've had much bigger problems with UPS than FedEX.

I bought two lenses and was at home. The front door was actually at the back of the house, with a long driveway. UPS guy left the box with two lenses in the middle of the driveway. Not against the house. Not on the door step. On the middle of the ****ing driveway.

What the hell is wrong with these guys? They make decent money and I realize they are on time constraints but it seems they don't care much about what are inside the packages they deliver each day.

I used to live in an apartment complex and one time the FedEx guy chunked my package(not breakable luckily) from the stairs onto my balcony when I wasnt home. Pretty bizarre.

Not your neighbors fault. If a package is delivered to my house by mistake, I'll put it inside and eventually walk it over but I'm not going to regard it as an emergency. Blame the delivery guy if you have to blame someone.

When I lived in College Station I had these kinds of problems with UPS all the time and greatly preferred FedEx. Where I live now, UPS is at my door at 7 pm about 3 times a week. No problems at all.

They make really good money for what they do... I hear they have pretty good benefits too.

I've had fedex in CS leave packages in my neighbors back yards. Multiple times too!!! Call fedex and they can get a hold of the driver and ask him where he left it.

The neighbor had about 4 reasons why she hadn't let us know, even though she had been in possession of it for a good 5 hours or so.

I think she actually did me a favor and was cool about it, but the multiple excuses made me wonder about a guilty conscience, or at least the desire to not appear guilty.

Hell, I didn't want to appear guilty either. Amazon and Fedex could both cast a guilty glance at me, saying that I had received it was trying to get a 2nd free one.

The whole thing put stress on me, and also on my neighbor. Not fair to anyone.

Dude, if this is the biggest problem in your life, and really warrants all this bemoaning, count your freaking blessings.

i've had fedex scan something as if it were delivered and then show up that evening around 8 or 9 pm. apparently, they get in trouble if they deliver that late, so they scan them in as if delivered and then actually bring them by later.

Great... Waiting on a computer that is supposed to be delivered today by FEDex. It was sent two day express from Harlingen to Sugar Land... on Nov. 24th.

What are they doing, sending it with a migrant farmer on a burro?

Plus I'll secretly be a little upset that you didn't spring for one just a little bit bigger you cheapskate.

I have UPS leave computer parts and peripherals outside by my gate in wet weather, when the gate is open. I usually have to sit on the tracking info and get it as soon as its delivered to prevent damage from rain. Rarely does it end up in a plastic bag.

I checked on the status of a package that I ordered from Amazon online and it says delivered. For where they left the package it says "Left with man". That doesn't seem like an awfully good sign.

i left it with a guy that seemed trustworthy. what's the problem?
