Really? I think he's caught by surprise. We're NOT reacting the way we always have. We're not rolling over and accepting their line of castrated bullcrap.
When the SWC broke up, we did what they wanted and joined the Big 12. While we didn't go along with the PAC-16, we did what they wanted and stayed in the weakened Big 12-2. We've tended to act like the codependent abused spouse, just taking it, and believing the sips when they say everything will be different in the future.
I think Dodds was totally unprepared for the possibility that our administration would grow a spine. Heck, it's surprised the crap outta me and probably most of the people on TexAgs. Why shouldn't it surprise the sip leadership, who have more first hand personal knowledge of the people running A&M than most of us?
I think the sips are stunned, in over their heads, and flailing about.
