Wow, what a great documentary. I never knew his background, but what an amazing person.

Sometimes, I feel the tour is missing that hard blue collar type to win the crowd over. The tour seems like it is filled with privileged kids who had the means and every thing they needed to succeed in their career.

Tommy "Two Gloves" Gainey!! Too bad he hasn't done much since he won for the first time a couple of years ago.

It's hard to succeed in golf unless your parents had the coin to support you. Hell half the mini tours can make you an "alternate" if you know someone.

Very true...we don't see the Lee Trevinos or Arnold Palmers coming out nowadays (in terms of background, at least not as much). Just how the game goes I guess.

Forgot to DVR it, but I'm sure I'll catch a rerun

DVR'd it last night, want to watch all 3 with my family when we're together.

Being blue collar was part of his appeal, but far and away his biggest draw was how genuine he was...and still is.

I had a brief, random and unexpected encounter with him in a parking lot in 1994. Just him and me. I was blown away, never met anyone like him before or after.

There's definitely a reason he's called The King, and golf is only a minor part of the reason.

Tiger says hi. But the caddy-shack dying is killing the growth of those types of player.

Didn't Keegan Bradley live in a rv with his dad for a while?

Maybe so. But wasn't his dad a PGA member and instructor? Doesn't seem to resonate "blue collar" and associate with the general masses.

His father was the club pro/grounds crew keeper, the PGA never recognized his father as a member.

Regardless, Arnie was not allowed by his father to dine in the club house and made sure he knew that he was NOT a member of the country club.

I was a fan of Arnie before this series came on, after I watched it, I now know why he is referred to as "The King".

If, If, If I get it. I am a Nicklaus guy. But if Jack would have shown up just 5 years later or even 3... I think Armienwould be thought of in a completely different light.

I get competition but Arnie had the bad luck of running into the greatest golfer to ever walk the planet. And pretty much won nothing after that...

I'm not sure how Blue Collar he was (I know he doesn't really seem that way now), but Bubba grew up in hick country and never took a lesson.

Didnt Rory/Graeme come from a working class families?

I know its a little different since theyre Euros, but still, I dont think they were necessarily silver-spoon wealthy.
