Any of y'all ever play this course? I've driven by it the past 2 weekends on 45.

Never played it because it looks like it's the windiest course in Texas.

If that course was in good shape, it would be a lot of fun. The time I played it last year, it was not worth the money.

I played it a couple of times a few years ago. I liked it overall (was in decent shape, cheap green fees and drinks, not too crowded, etc). But I do remember it being a little "different," which could be a good or bad thing. I don't exactly remember what was "different" about it but I want to say that it was very short, very tight, and had a lot of elevation changes. You may not be hitting many drivers.

I also remember that a few holes were pretty cool looking because there was a canyon/quarry type of thing on both sides of the fairway.

Anyways, I haven't played it in a few years but I thought it was a cool, different course to try out at least once.

I personally hate the course. Lots of blind shots and forces carries. Tight fairways and elevated greens. It's a tough track. Plays better when you play it more. You have to be familiar with it.

IMO it's not worth the money

+1 on it being windy out there - the worst wind I have ever played there was a few years ago - so bad it was blowing the ball off the green when you would mark it.

Cheap green fee and not terribly crowded but a tough layout - tight fairways and narrow landing areas - it will bite you if you spray it around.

I tend to spray.

Sounds like a fun course to check out though at least once...I do like playing in the wind. Adds a whole new level to golf courses. I've played in Amarillo and Canyon before, so I think I could handle it out there. Par 5's turning into par 6's, and par 5's turning into par 4's, depending on wind direction.

It's fun to play every now and then. Definitely not somewhere I would like to play often. Lot's of elevation change where knowing the course would help a little. All the par 3's play a couple clubs shorter due to the elevation. I used 3 wood all day off the tee.

Last time I played it was pretty cheap so I would say it's worth the money.

Nothing I've played in DFW compares to The Bridges. I've played it 3-4 times and each time the wind has been unbearable. I would guess 30 mph or so. And these were on days where it was not noticeably windy until I got to the course. I guess it's on high elevation with nothing to block the wind?

Exactly mavs. I live in celina, if the winds 5-10, it's 15-20 on the bridges course.

Ooh the Bridges are a course I plan on making a trip out to this year sometime.

Played Bridges a bunch. Great course and typical links windy. But a links style course found on an elevated ridge is another level. Links 9 at Coyote Ridge is one of those, and while I've not played the Brickyard, it is on a very elevated ridge.

The Bridges is a very fun course, 18 is a haus of a hole.

But that wind...
