So my buddies and I do an annual golf trip right before football season. We're trying to decide between Hilton Head and Orlando.

So I thought I'd see if any of y'all would have good insight into either location for a group of 25-30 year olds that have a problem missing those damn 5-10 foot birdie putts.

Not sure how spread out your group is, but travel to Orlando's probably a little easier. We used to alternation between Orlando and Myrtle. Both are fun, just a little different.

Would recommend at least talking with folks from www.golfpactravel.com. They were great for organizing trips like this and we used them for years. They'll give you a wide range of course options based on price and also wide range of choices on housing (condo, hotel, etc).

If you go to Orlando, make a point to play Celebration.

I haven't been to Hilton Head in years but the island is basically all golf courses. We had a great time. Orlando is obviously a big city with plenty of options for nighttime fun. I enjoy the scenery and area of Hilton Head much more than Orlando.

I played Harbour Town at Hilton Head last summer and that was the most fun I've ever had playing golf. I loved the course. We stayed in Savannah which wasn't too far from there and it was a pretty neat place as well.

We will all be leaving from Houston. We have been to Myrtle and Palm Springs. Both times delays on our connection flights screwed us royally, so we decided no more connections which sucks because there are a lot of good golf courses that aren't near major airports...

Yeah the main attraction to Hilton Head was Harbour Town and Palmetto Dunes.

Just didn't know which courses to target in either town.

Here's what we have played the last two years and my personal rankings:

Myrtle-
Dunes Golf And Beach Club - #1
Barefoot Resort-Fazio Course - #2
Members Club at Grande Dunes - #3
Barefoot Resort - Dye Course - #4

Palm Springs-
PGA West - TPC Stadium -#1
Indian Wells - Players Course -#2
Terra Lago North - #3
Desert Willow - Firecliff Course - #4
