Friday afternoon out at Pecan Hollow in south Plano.

Got a Saturday tee time out at Ridgeview Ranch GC, Plano (quickly becoming my 'home course') with my dad and a friend who are both coming into town from Austin.

Reserving judgement on a Sunday evening round (actually one of my favorite times to play golf). Will depend on how the weekend goes all around, other than just golf. Could just turn into a range session.

Played Kizer back in early January. Only got 17 holes in. Finished the 17th pretty much in the dark. Pretty crazy flood damage at a few of the creek-adjacent holes, but nothing that actually affected the holes themselves, just stuff off to the side.

I'll let you know. I used the driving range a few weeks ago and walked a few of the fairways... It looks okay. The grass is starting to green up and the greens look well maintained. I'll see how it plays.

How is Ridgeview Ranch looking, Chipotle? I used to play there a lot like 8 or 9 years ago but haven't played a round there since 2009ish. I know they changed the layout a bit.

Last I played it was about 2 months ago. Was playing real well for the time of year, greens and all, if you don't mind hitting in brown grass all over.

All I've done out there lately is hit balls and putt. The practice green is actually pretty ****ty, but I think that's partially because the high amount of traffic for such a relatively small green. All I do is work on pace and stroke (which has been god awful lately, as my swing changes/drills are creeping into the putting :/ ), generally don't care if I make em.

Hole 9 green looks great...always one of my favorite holes. I have knocked it to about 5" from the fairway bunker about 30 yards out. Grass is definitely getting green!

If the weather is good this evening I'll head out there after work. If there isn't some league or other teeing off this evening I may play some holes.

Either way I'll let ya know after I play it this weekend.

There is a church men's league at Ridgeview on Thursday afternoons according to my stepfather. But it the league may not have started yet.

Just played heron lakes dog track. Greens all sand and aerated. But it was 18 bucks and I just had my best round ever. Par 68 and punched a 79. 17 and 18 lipped out birdies. 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Yea there was a league playing tonight. Muddy as **** out here. Weird practice session...my putting has been suspect in practice as of late, but today it's by far my best work. As for the short game, I REALLY NEED some new wedges. The lowest one I play is a gap wedge (due to the set I have of G5's). I literally can't play certain shots because of it, and its grind.
