Par 5 565 yards at Deerwood Club. Hit driver, 251 yard 3 wood to a plateau green to 4-5' and sunk the damn thing. I could get used to it...

Hopefully it's not the last.

Are you saying you hit a 3 wood 300+ off the deck?! That is a filthy **** if so!

no, i think he's saying he hit 314 off the tee, then the remaining 251 with the 3 wood.

Nice hole.

My only eagle was a holed out 129 yard approach shot on a par 4.

No, hit my drive 314 yards and a 3 wood 251 yards up hill to about 4-5' and drained the putt.

Managed to bogey the next two but still ended up shooting a 77. I'll take it for just running out there and not warming up.

Made one this weekend as well at Twin Creeks in Allen. 470 yard par 5 (hit from the whites that day), 320 drive with a tail wind and over shot a 9i but chipped in from about 25 feet. My second eagle ever.

I had one at Old Orchard back in the day. No. 4 on the Range course, Par 5 467 yards. Hit a driver into the rough on the left and hit the best 5 iron of my life. The ball ended up 10 feet from the hole and I made the eagle putt. That will always be my favorite course to play of all time.

I see lots of you guys have done so as well, feels so dang good. The drive was nutted which is fine, but the 3 wood off the deck from 250 playing up hill was such a good feeling. I just took the stress off my arms and let the club swing and that ball took off like a mofo and had a slight right to left draw that hit the right front of the green and bounced left onto the green and rolled. The putt was about 5' down hill inside right to left and it didn't move from that line.

I just can't figure out why I can hit three good shots in a row like that, then proceed to bogey the next 3 of 4 finishing holes...God I hate this game.

Playing over at Deerwood with a buddy of mine who's coming in from Chicago at the end of the month if anyone wants to join in who lives in the Kingwood/Atascocita area...

Golf giveth and golf taketh away as far as bogeys after a good hole. My eagle was followed by a birdie and then just a yours two holes later a double bogey and bogey. It humbles you.

I played in a high school tournament at River Ridge (Houston area) with a guy named Graham Hoy from Conroe. It was a blustery windy day and the organizers had us tipped out on Parkland/Ridge. He eagled 1, 8, 10 and lipped out his eagle on 15.

Bump for old orchard. I loved that course. Walked it at least 20 times during the summers for the $15 jr rate. Mom used to drop me and a few buddies off at 8am and wouldn't come get us until 5pm. It was a long day of golf. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I've had three eagles but my first was the old campus course. It was the par 5 where you hit through a tight opening from the tee-box with water on the right side, maybe hole 15? Hit a great drive and was about 200 out with a strong wind behind me. Hit a 5 iron over the water to about 10' right of the hole and sink it.

Same here, my favorite hole was No. 2 on the stables course, the short par 4 with the water in front of the green, I deposited quite a few X-Outs into that pond!

I remember my first two not long after I started playing in college. They were on the "old" campus course. My first was on the first hole, which then was a shortish par 5. Was just short of the fringe in two and chipped it in.

Then a couple weeks later, then hole #10 was like a 310 yard par. Drove it ok and one-hopped a sand wedge into the hole from like 60-70 yards.

Made me think "I got this game". But all these years later I might make one or two a year playing once a week.

Can't wait til I get one. I got the distance again now that I've worked out my swing a lot (lessons for 1st time in years), and had an eagle chip this last Friday at pecan hollow #8. Driver+5iron to right of the green.

Playing with a friend of mine back in Colorado. She used to play softball and was taking a golf PE class so she had to get out and play nine holes. She was really athletic and could crush it.

On a short par 5, we both ended up with a little pitch onto the green with our third shot. I hit it to about 10 feet. She hit hers and it damn near went in the hole. Basically burned the edge like a putt hit a little too hard and ended up three feet away.

For those few seconds when the shot looked really good and I thought it was going in, I was so mad that she was going to get an eagle on basically her second or third time playing golf ever and I had never gotten one.

me too. One of my favorite courses of all time. I played it the weekend it closed. I think it closed on a Sunday and we played it Saturday. Anyway I was in the last or second to last group to finish that evening. We putted out on 18 as the sun set thru the pecan trees. I remember coming off 18 looking back thru the trees at just a beautiful setting.

I have an Old Orchard pin flag hanging in my garage.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those or an old scorecard.
