My brother and I were out at Jersey Meadow the other day and it was super hot and humid. We used big styrofoam cups filled with crushed ice and poured our beer over the ice and then salted the top real good. That is an awesome way to pound the suds when you're on the links these hot days.

You seem like the type of guy who drinks Schlitz or Old Milwalkee.

I grew up on Schlitz , drank Old Mil when I was young because it was cheap. But I'm a made man now so it's Miller Lite for me.

I'll still drink beers in the heat, but used the cup holders to double fist with water or Gatorade. But what's the salt? Water retention? Don't overheat!

Light beer is for women who don't like the flavor of beer.

I started drinking these in Costa Rica bc it's too damned hot to drink beer in the sun all day

Exactly what I thought when I read it as well. I know all these redneck slushed and they're awesome, but they have distinct differences from just bud light lime (tequila, vodka, limeade mix, etc.)

This is a good summer beer for the course. Tasted great when I played in 60* weather in Vail last week.

I'm not good enough yet to drink more than one or two beers per round. I find that slight loss of motor control can eff me up. So I generally wait and have one or two on the back nine, if I played well on the front.

Most people I know play better after a couple beers. Seems like the sweet spot for most is 3-5.

How do you expect to play well if you haven't been drinking your aiming fluid(beer)?

I agree, these are actually called cheladas but that site went with the full name.

They do call them micheladas in Costa Rica though.
