So I dropped off some clothes after we cleaned out our closets and I decided to go in and just look around.

Low and behold I picked up a 4-SW set of PING G2 irons. They're in decent shape with PING stiff shafts and brand new Winn DriTack grips.

Take home price was $19!!! Going to head to the range this week and see what I've got. Not sure if they're better than the Eye2 set I'm still swinging but who knows. Anyone know anything about the G2s?

If they're of the same quality as the G2 driver was, or that my still-in-the-bag G5 irons are, then you got a damn good deal. Get after it.

I have looked there and only found crapola.

I took them with me today to hit at the range before we teed off. Hit em so well I put the old sticks in the truck and swung the G2s all day. I hit em crisp, straight, and get about 10-15 extra yards out of each club.

Shot a smooth 84 with some pretty improved iron play. Love em!

I was at the local catholic charities shop a few months back and found a Titleist 712 AP1 6-Iron. I looked for 20m and could not find the rest of the set so I just left the lone iron in the bags.

They want $2 club. Even finding the 7-PW would have only cost me $10.

Any time I go in a thrift store, I search the pile of knock-off 2-irons and chippers from the 80's for the errant quality club and I never find anything. You are one lucky punk.

reminds me of the guy (might have even been CS) who found that Scotty Cameron 909 GSS Tour issued putter at a Play it again sports and bought it for some ridiculous amount (sub $140).
