I can't put my finger on it but watching Furyk play drives me nuts.

Maybe its his human rain delay pre-shot routine.

The dude's got game but he's not the easiest to watch lead a Tourney.

Watcing him line up putts is like watching the wnba. I often find myself thinking, how is this guy a proessional golfer, much less a top player. He shouldn't have to do this.

Ill also add, he just rubs me the wrong way. I've shared this before, but at colonial I watched him be a complete ass to a spotter in the fairway, accused the guy of stepping on his ball in the rough while spotting the ball.

I'll agree that his pre-shot routine could be shortened (like most pros), but I think he's gotten a little quicker on the greens than he used to be.

I'm thankful none of the PGA Tour pros have resorted to LPGA way of doing things (won't hit a shot until their caddy lines them up and tells them they're good to go). That ish drives me nuts; it's like they've become so methodical that it takes the fun out of the game (at least it makes it unwatchable for me).

I wish I liked him. Seems like a decent guy and he's got a fantastic game. Still, like y'all have said I just never have really wanted to root for him.

OP fits in well around these parts.

I don't dislike him per se, but I am somehow annoyed by the practice strokes he always makes after missing a putt.
I also have an irritional dislike for the way Ken Duke celebrates a good shot. I can't even begin to explain why though.

Count me in.......never really liked watching him play

His putting rig-a-marole drives me insane. The line on the ball isn't supposed to be an absolute putting line aid, it can help some. He treats it like the only thing that matters with his stroke.

I am fine with everything except the ridiculous putting routine. Pretty classic moment yesterday late in the round with a marshall. I think it was #18. Furyk goes through his feet balancing act, adjusts his line aim on the ball, lines up again, marshall has had his arms up for the quiet please reminder and when Furyk backed away he just dropped his head and arms in disbelief. Pretty funny if you caught it. I thought it summed up what we all feel watching his routine.

I keep thinking we'll see less of him as he moves into his mid-forties but geez he still hangs around the leaderboards in majors.

You guys complain about the pre-putt marathon --- which is like watching paint dry. I daresay I loathe his golf swing more. I wince every time he swings the club.

On the other extreme, the cameras will cut to someone like Rory or Oosthuizen and their swings fill me with pure joy.

The anti-Furyk (my personal favorite to watch) would have to be Angel Cabrera. Love the way he approaches the game. Yardage, wind, lie, pull the club and hit the shot. Usually takes him about 10-15 seconds for that entire sequence. I've only seen him doddle or be indecisive a handful of times. If everyone played like that four-plus hour rounds would be a thing of the past.

Louis has such a pure easy smooth swing. If he ever gets a great short game, look out.

I DVR'd the final round and watched it last night. That was a great home stretch. Tim Clark's putting on the back nine was nothing less than insane. The first time I ever heard about him was watching this tournament about 4-5 years ago when he was in contention. Good to seem him back from injuries.

Say what you want about Furyk, but the guy proves over and over again he's a player. I think the comments about him are probably unfair, so call me unfair because I'm right there with the rest of you. I'd rather watch Andrew Loupe.

I wouldn't mind him so much if he wasn't always in contention --- ergo on my television.

He's a choke artist.

Several years ago he was playing in the Wednesday pro-am somewhere in the state of Texas and obviously didn't want to be there.

On the 3rd hole after a shot, he grabs his wrist and has to quit. Fluff finished the round with Furyk's clubs.

Ok, 10-4, so most of us hate watching Furyk.

Now the real question: Would you adopt his swing and preshot routine if it meant making the tour?

You'd be the target of ridicule, sponsored by web.com and 5-hour energy, and you would completely lack lips of any kind....but damn, you'd be rich.

Got to play in the Nelson gold pro-am with Furyk. One of the nicest people I've met. Fluff is great too. Played in the tourney 5 times and Furyk was the only nice one. Some were even big asses.

Not crazy about the routine, but can't root against him.

I can never disrespect a guy who outkicks his coverage as far as Furyk has. Close tie with Tom Lehman for second to Dufner.

To me, Dufner outkicked it the most. But I do not know Lehman's SO off the top of my head. Time for a google.

Clarification: second BEHIND Dufner. J-Duf is the clear winner here.

I'm indifferent on Furyk. My dad pulls for him because he's been bald for so long. Go figure.
