I started playing last May. I've broken 100 three times since then. I usually hover around 110. Took my first lesson two weeks ago. Played Cypresswood Traditions last week. Struggled on the front, but was making solid contact for the first time. Added about 20-25 yards to my irons (which has taken some time to figure out) and went from 200-220 yard drives to 280+. Played bogey golf on the back 9 that day.

Been itching to get back out and finally got to Houston National today. 47 front and a 40 on the back. Played -1 on the last 5 holes.

Amazing how much more fun the game is when you are making solid contact and aren't having to bust out 4,5,6 irons all day long.

When you hit that unexplained 2 week stretch of 110 again, please feel free to post in the F Golf thread.

May I ask, who have you been taking lessons from?

Ryan Sirman at Swanson's Cypress Lakes. I'm a former athlete/current coach, so the visual aspect was HUGE for me. Just having someone show me the problem and be able to show me how to fix it was huge. Ryan was great. Understood exactly what I needed to see and hear.

I played in a high school golf tournament at Eagles Bluff with him. Very good golfer.
