I like Feherty, he seems like a great guy, but I wish he would quit trying to be funny with every little word he says. After a while it just becomes silly.Dude was a heck of a player for a while, that's for sure.
How was the punctuation?

Sometimes he does go overboard but I think he has shown a little bit of restraint in the past couple of years.

Gary McCord, on the other hand, just needs to shut up. Everybody knows that ONE guy who thinks he's funny but really isn't.

His interview show on the golf channel is maybe the best television available right now. He definitely tones down the jokes as they dive into some very real life issues with each guest.

If you can find the episode with Tom Watson it's pretty moving. Apparently Tom is the one that recomended Faherty ditch the sauce and Dave is very emotional about it.

I love Feherty. He is a great interviewer.

The two of them together sitting at a picnic table, talking about how Watson basically saved Feherty's life by commandeering Jack's place to go to rehab is some moving stuff.

Feherty is incredible. I haven't seen the Watson epidsode, but his one with Charlie Rose is amazingly honest and insightful. Really get to the depth of how bad David addiction was and the fight he keeps up against it.

I've met Ferehty personally and I'm pretty sure that his broadcasting persona isn't fake. He immediately came off as awkwardly eccentric in conversation. However, I think he's a good person that has overcome A LOT. His work with the wounded warrior foundation is very respectable as well.

He's an enigma. My brother spent New Years Eve with him when he lived in the Dallas area and said he was the life of the party.

Amen on the wounded warrior comment. Dude loves the military and America. Would be nice to see more Americans act that way.

He's toned down the jokes alot. Go back and watch a couple of episodes from season 1. He actually showed some stand up routines he was working on.

It's great he does stuff, but watch out with Wounded Warrior. I only know because my work was doing a benefit for them and a friend told me how awful of a charity it is.

Feherty

he was the speaker at a recent event here in Houston. His story (alcohol and drug addiction) is pretty amazing. Easily the best speaker I've ever heard at one of these type events. Had the entire crowd crying we were laughing so hard. He was up there for about 45 minutes and if he would have stayed for three more hours, I don't think anyone would have left the room.
