My wife's cousin and I are thinking about going on a golf weekend since both of our wives are pregnant (and the wives agreed!). Unfortunately, golf in August sucks in Houston and pretty much anywhere in Texas because it's hot. He lives up east of the Dallas area so I thought I could pick him up and then head to Arkansas for some golf. On weather.com it appears that it is in the mid 80s there, and I'm good with that.

Brings me to my point: any courses in the W or SW part of Arkansas that are recommended to play? A quick google search shows Hot Springs Country club or Eagle Crest in Alma as being good. Anyone have any other suggestions or tips?

Hot Springs Village has a whole host of courses that are usually in good condition and fun to play. We take a guys trip up there every August and play Diamante and Isabella (for certain) and then either Grenada or Cortez. Though the others are great as well.
