Me too. They said they have a few more openings if anyone is interested in getting in at the last minute.

Had fun. Despite that 54 winner's score and soggy conditions.

Still trying to figure out that 54. That group was near us and I didn't think they were doing that well.

I figure having an old dude can help setup good tee shots but conditions were too sloppy and they were all oldies.

You could tell they were "that group" this tourny. They were defensive when someone said, "was that a 54?" We placed second with a 61. Hit every green but one. Decent putters just not as sharp with slower greens and some tricky pins.

I think the lowest I have seen in this tournament was a 56/57 and that was with perfect conditions.

They were "that" group.

Vegas you have promoted this event the last couple years here. Surprised you do not know who is who..."THAT GROUP" was led by David Rhodes, a former PGA tour player, and Doc Stokely. I've bumped heads with them for 20+ years on the BBQ circuit. Who else they had with them I didn't know. Did speak with David's mother who was working the silent auction. He is always damn hard to beat.

Winners got a glass bowl? You two are right (dcrewint) they cheated for it. I'll just be naive and hold the opinion we all got rolled by a better team.

Do know this, the food at this deal the last two years breakfast & lunch is one of the best at any golf outing anywhere. Children's Miracle Network in Bastrop last week was not as good and it was at the Hyatt Wolfdancer. BTW 41 won that one...the Anco life boys must have spent $400 on mulligans & string.

Next year, I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open. I didn't really get to chit chat with many of the golfers.

I agree. They have done really well with feeding the tournament each year. If we can just talk them into a few free drink coupons, it will be golden.
