The guy caddying for Roman is the old head pro from traditions, it's his uncle. Roman is a great player
Tough draw for Roman have to play Robbie Shelton in the second round. Shelton was arguably the best player not named Patrick Rodgers in college golf last year and helped lead Bama to the national championship. Roman is holding his own so far though. All square through 10.
Is it on TV?
Looks like Roman beat Shelton by 1 hole, and is 1 up through 8 in his Round of 16 match.
On to the round of 8! What a day for him.

Ya, big fan of Roman and have followed his story since he was a senior in high school.
HHS alum here. Would be great for a guy from the Valley to potentially win this thing.
On another note Johnnie Jackson is probably the most notable alum. CB for SF Niners, won Super Bowl.

yes, Rene is his uncle. Rene was a great player in his prime as well at UH and he played in at least one US Open.
so I guess we need to pull for that guy from the Woodlands now that the Valley guy lost
Know The Woodlands guy (Fred) lost yesterday. Had an opportunity to play with him a few years ago, he is a great kid. Hope the best for him.
