Howdy ags,
My roommate and I, both class of '12, own an electric golf cart that has recently started giving us trouble. It currently isn't holding a charge. When you plug it in the charger clicks on and it'll even drive forward while plugged in. Once you unplug it it has zero juice. Any tips? Is it just bad batteries?

Most likely old batteries or connections could be bad.

Could be a bad solenoid or charging receptacle.

oh man - I worked at Pebble Creek CC when I was at A&M and used to have to fix their golf carts. This was early 90s...and all were EZ-GOs

Test the charge on all the batteries and the connections of each. If batteries are good I would then look to the solenoid. Outside of that - golf cart repair shop. That's about as far as I got.

just based on your description... either the batteries are completely toast or there is a connection issue. If you have a voltmeter, measure the voltage at directly at the battery terminals, and then again at the charger. I'm guessing there is an open connection somewhere in there.
