DAMNIT - title should be rangefinder poll

I'm sick of using my iGolf NEO GPS due to all of the problems downloading new courses, so I'm in the market for a rangefinder. I don't need anything fancy, but have no idea where to start.

Which rangefinders do you use? Prefer to get a gently used one as spending $300-350 on one seems ridiculous.

i just got a leoupold with the yellow key. the one that does elevations i like it alot when there are prisms on the sticks. my buddy uses the bushnell with jolt and i like that one alot too.

I also have a Leupold with the yellow face (gx4i2) that I love. My course has a ton of elevation change so the slope setting is nice to have when I'm not playing in a tournament. You can take the face off of this years model and put on the silver front which removes the slope setting and make it legal for tournament play.

Just make sure you get the new version if legal tournament play concerns you. The new version is approved by the USGA while the old version isn't even though it works the same way.

Loved my leupold w/o slope until it went swimming. Bout to find out how good their CS is

I have an older Bushnell. Been happy with it. Want to say it was around 300 new. If I bought it again I would definitely recommend getting the one with the slope adjustment.

Leupold GX-II - I've used it for years, and it's fantastic. Has the slope/elevation feature. Is extremely light and durable.





My buddy recenlty purchased the Bushnell Tour Z6 Jolt. I like it more than my Leupold, as it locks onto the pin even more quickly than my Leupold (which is quick), and love the bright red display.





One last thing about these two, they are small and fit comfortably in one hand.

I have leupold. I swear someone on here said leupold makes the Bushnell one as well as most others.

That could be totally false and I apologize if incorrect.

I use the Garmin S3 watch for general distance. but then use the bushnell binoculars for less than 150 yds.

combo works great. couldn't be happier...

Mine is a Bushnell that is really for deer. If there are no reflecters on the pins it can get pretty tough oitside about 130 yards or so. But it works good enough.

I've found the golf ones work better for hunting than the hunting ones wrk better for golf.

Just changed to a Bushnell Tour V3 Jolt from an older Leupold hunting model, and the difference is night and day. The Leupold was very good inside of 200 yards, but without a reflector on the flagstick or on a windy day, it was virtually impossible to lock into the flag. Have had zero issues with that since the switch.

Bushnell with the flag fonder ability.....V2...I think. Love it

My s3 is Fantastic

Bushnell V3? Which has the Jolt technology. I purchased mine new from amazon. Had a gift card so got it around $200~ Saves a lot of time and seems pretty accurate.

I have the bushnell V2 and life it as well. Doesn't have the jolt technology, but it did the job for me and can probably be good a heck of a lot cheaper than the V3

A friend of mine just got a Jolt Z6. That thing is awesome.

The reason I prefer a laser rangefinder over GPS, is that I can point and shoot, and not worry about overcast days that could affect GPS accuracy.
