Ole Miss/MSU is claiming the "most ever to watch an on-campus college baseball game. 15K. I know that nobody counted, but might there have been more than 15K at that legendary game in 1989?
Lots of people there but nowhere near 15K.
Remember the RF bleachers were not there in 1989 either.
Most I recall at Olsen would be the Saturday night Baylor game in 1999.
It was estimated 11k were there which included Aggie Alley but since there was no admission charged for AA then only those inside Olsen counted towards official attendance.
But no there has never been 15K for a game at Olsen field even including Aggie Alley.

One of the cool things was a fan beyond the right field fence who rented a lifter (similar to the vehicle that lifts electrical line workers to the top of power lines). I seem to recall him with an Aggie flag up there as well. Electric atmosphere. Complete euphoria after the grand slam.
I know it's not the point of your question but I attended the entire series.
First game was a bummer. the second one we jumped out to a big lead but it looked like we'd lose that one too. big come back and the place went nuts. John Byington!
Yeah...I have seen the night one. My old man was on a ladder and I was sitting on a utility box right under where the home run went and i always wanted to see if we were on the video.
I was there for the entire series. Was bummed when Friday's game got rained out, even more bummed when Dressendorfer shut us down Saturday, and thrilled with the way it all worked out.
I was there for the dramatics but missed the start of the game as I was out of town and flying into Easterwood more than half-way through. When I jumped in the car from the airport and headed to Olsen we were losing big. When I arrived, we won! Thank goodness I got there before 3 outs. I still think the win might be all because of me
I was watching the game on tv, but I seem to remember that the broadcast was preempted. Maybe it wasn't and I just decided that I needed to be there in person. Either way, I drove over to campus and got to see that last half-inning from the tracks.
