We were lucky enough to make the trip to Vandy to watch the Ags take two of three and win a huge series last weekend. What a great vacation as we got to meet all of the players, coaches and some of the parents as well. The weekend was a good reminder why I love and enjoy Aggie baseball so much.
Thank you to all the coaches, players and parents of players for making the weekend one that our family will remember forever! My son and step son have some great pictures and memories to look back on as they get older.
We are already looking forward to our trip next year for another weekend of Aggie baseball.

Thanks. This is the greatness of an Aggie baseball road trip versus football or basketball.

I've cherished some great stories of encounters and visits with guys like Brodie Greene, Esty and others at OKC and regionals/Supers all over the place.

And sometimes it's other legends. Once the Aggies were playing in a tourny in Round Rock and there was a light rain so I was watching from the rocking chairs in left field. Wayne Graham comes and sits next to me and talks for about 20 minutes.

Just one more reason college baseball is best!

At the '03(?) regional in College Station, Tommy Lasorda was there to scout for the Dodgers. We were tailgating in the parking lot during one of the non-A&M games and he wanders by, sits down with us, eats our food, drinks our beer and talks baseball for about 45 minutes. I've never been a huge Dodger or Lasorda fan, but it was still freaking awesome to listen to him talk about the game of baseball.

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

I hate the Dodgers and Lasorda's teams of the late '70s and '80s is why, still would have loved to have been there to here what he had to say. The man has an obvious love for the game of baseball that transcends him being a Dodger.
