If Corey Ray can throw strikes, I think we'll be ok.

Rice is ranked #12 in the NCAA poll. Where are the Aggies currently??. Could not find it.

Wayne Graham loses the game by batting a guy who had only 2 AB's all year for the 3rd out. Guy obviously can't coach. Or maybe coaches play players for different reasons that fans would choose, especially in non-conference. Maybe you'd like to see what a player can do under pressure?

can't fault Graham. He can afford to take a chance in the midweek at this point in the season.

as long as the Owls take care of business on the remaining weekends vs. average to below average C-USA competition, Rice will get a regional host slot.

I think a national seed is out of reach because so many other mid-majors are in front of them. Namely Cal Poly, UH, and Indiana

Don't know the details in this situation, but I am convinced that Wayne Graham is one of the very best college baseball coaches in the nation if not the BEST, IMO.

Guess I should have put the wink, it was sarcasm with all the gnashing of teeth about RC"s pitching moves. The better teams will take advantage of pressure situations to give players the experience of big game pressure. Yea, Rice can afford that better than we can, but still. Its one reason I got so down on Johnson back in the day using up his stud relievers on Tuesday games, then having them worn out by May.
