Not the best race but a wind legal 11.84 for Camryn Dickson to place 5th in the 100, Georgia commit blows away the field

Keep an eye on Carlie Weiser 2023 thrower from Giddings... won the shot put and discus with a 48 and 149'11. Sophomore Mason Dossett runs 13.84 to win the hurdles. Crazy underclassmen talent in Texas right now!

Hasn't thrown in 2 years which is rough, but was one of the more talented middle school throwers in the nation! Hopefully she's healthy and can have a solid senior year, but she hasn't competed yet!

He signed with Boston. He wanted A&M early on but the numbers did not work out unfortunately. We got a big dose of reality on the business side of this but we got to meet Coach Henry and had a wonderful visit .

Darn, but that's great for him! He's going to get a hell of an education! Boston is lucky to have him! Can't wait to see what else he does this season!

A couple of quick reflections: Really surprised that Popelka is headed to BU… Great school (had a niece graduate from there and loved it), but not much of a track school. Mason Dossett is only a sophomore is a very good but I suspect he may look to Baylor where his dad ran the hurdles and played football ( a couple of years in the pros with Gree Bay) The real signee may be sprinter, hurdler and multi's guy Sam Alves! Hope the Ags go after him!

Sam Alves would be awesome! He's taken officials to Tech and TCU. Hopefully we can get him on one. The sad news is his girlfriend goes to Tech lol

I still hate how Georgia took some top sprinters from Texas in Autumn Wilson and Haley Tate... and don't forget the ones they have on campus Bryce McCray (Aggie Track Legacy), Matthew Boling, Kenondra Davis. To top it off they took the top 800 recruit in the country

Thank you for the kind words! Keep up the great work on this thread. I really enjoy reading over it especially now that I have had the opportunity to meet some of these young men and women along with their families.

To any parents out there that may be going through the recruiting process for first time hang in there and be patient. Unless things goes perfectly it can be extremely stressful. You are juggling offers, how your child fits on the roster, and coaching staff / school all while trying to give your best advice to an 18 year old!

It's a shame he signed so early. His numbers getting so much better this weekend would likely significantly affect his scholarship opportunities at big, more track/sprint-oriented schools (including probably ours).

Congrats on the great weekend though. He had an incredible meet.

Aggies land a mid distance star in Kate Ginther. Her progress throughout high school is crazy so her ceiling is high! Advanced to state in the 800 last year with a 2:14 then ran a 5k Cross Country Pr of 18:15 to place 8th. Former teammate of Maddie Livingston!

Aggies land a cross country stud in Kennedy Fontenot out of New Braunfels! She placed 8th in a loaded 6A state meet with a SB of 18:03 in the 5k xc course! She ran 10:58 in the 3200 to place 7th at the Texas Relays! She adds to a great distance class already on board!

My daughter got a letter in January. She ran 2:17 as a sophomore, and a 5:14 mile. Funny story...she hasn't opened the letter yet from January. Her coach gave it to her little brother and he lost it, and she's studying abroad this spring...so dad wonders what the great Pat Henry might have to say. Kids...

They traditionally have a Junior Day in late February so it quite possibly could have been an invitation to that.

After indoor season Arkansas Multi event athlete G'Auna Edwards announced that she is entering the transfer portal. She was originally at Texas Tech and is from Texas. She probably has 1 more indoor season and two outdoor seasons.

This weekend G'Auna Edwards is in College Station maybe for an official visit.

Her PBs are below.
Her hurdles times, Long jump and high jump marks are pretty good. Just have to work on Javelin and shot put

200 24.33
LJ 6.42m (1.3) 21' 0.75"
800 2:29.24
SP 11.35m 37' 3"
60H 8.21
JT 28.25m 92' 8"

She always struck me as inconsistent. Maybe coaching or mental, but it always seemed she peaked at the wrong time.

Is she going to be a grad transfer? I don't think she'd be eligible immediately otherwise. Eligibility-wise she has 1 outdoor season left unless they throwaway 2021 season for covid and she has 1 indoor and 2 outdoor seasons left.

Add high hurdler Hendricks Hundl to the class of '26. The El Campo senior is a good hurdler and high jumper…WELCOME!

7:27p, 4/11/22

Hundl will continue to hurdle next season as a preferred walk-on at Texas A&M.

"I always liked A&M growing up," he said. "A&M and Nebraska were my two biggest schools. They have a really good program and they have a new sprint coach and I liked him. I think it will be a great fit."

A 14.3 110 hurdles and a 8.28 60 hurdles is impressive! He seems like a great competitor and great person! Can't wait to see how he develops! Go Kurt Henry!

Landon Helms ran a 14.01 in the 110h at Arcadia. In the past two weeks he has become the Idaho high school all-time pole vaulter (17' 2") & all-time fastest 110m hurdler with that 14.01. Those are some points in the multis...
