Didn't know what to expect last year with the new coach but really looking forward to this season.

Hockey season is so weird. Start and end going to game in shorts, with winter interrupting the middle.
I love football season, but when hockey season starts, I'm truly in my happy place.

Me too! Which seems so weird for a Texas kid who didn't start watching until the stars got to Dallas.

If this were a Suter replacement, I'd be all for it. Since that ain't happening, I would assume he'd take Hakanpaa's spot and be paired with Harley? Anyway, this sounds like an in-season possibility, and a million things can happen between now and then.

Anyone on here collect/trade hockey cards? I used to back when the Stars came to Dallas through the early 00's. Just recently dove headfirst back in, and I've become slightly obsessed (needed a hobby). Built quite a decent Stars collection and a have lot of sets/inserts for other teams.

Detroit just traded for Petry. Montreal retained half the salary. Probably for the best. Not sure Petry would have been a good move. There will be better fits available in the spring.
