What is your favorite live rock album?

I'll go with Eagles Live double album from 1980 (not Hell Freezes over) and the Guns n Roses Live Era '87 - '93 double album. There's a lot more and probably better choices, but those come to mind to get the ball rolling, and they are great albums

Remember a buddy of mine had this one and let me burn it. 2001, riding the school bus in my freshman year of high school, listening to this one. Still love it:

This one is an absolute classic.

Note: the cover photo was nowhere near the venue, it was shot in Macon GA. they simply stenciled the album name on some gear cases for the cover.

FYI: With the death of Dickey Betts last month the only surviving member from this shot is drummer/percussionist Jai Johanny Johanson (Jaimoe) who also played with Muscle Shoals, Otis Redding, and Sam and Dave among others.

Tucked away I have 5-10 autographed FCL LPs and CDs. I was a huge fanboy back in the 70's.

However, UFO's Strangers in the Nght remains the best live album of all time.

My three favorites -- all recorded in the '70s -- that I still listen to today.

"Wings Over America" -- Paul McCartney and Wings
"You Had to Be There" -- Jimmy Buffett
"Alive" -- Kenny Loggins

As I read through these great suggestions, I asked myself "what makes these albums so great?" I think the answer is energy and rawness. Just 4 or 5 (or more) of the most talented rock artists in history with instruments plugged into monster tube amps.

This is my summer playlist.

Not sure I've ever heard the studio version of "Do You Feel Like We Do". All I've heard ever played was the live cut.
