A well deserved "bump". Never far away in my thoughts, but I always get choked up again when I read this story.

My grandson(4) and I were reading the DMN account of the collapse. Through tears, he told me to look at the angels. When you look at the original picture, you can see forms above and around Tim that to me and my grandson looked like angels. We are Catholic and the month of November is for ALL SOULS. Our 12 are always on our rolls for SOULS. They will always be remembered here in our home and our hearts.

I dread this week and tonight so much.
Hard to swallow still that so much changed in 3 hours, 13 years ago.

I was six years old when Tim Kerlee was first introduced to me and my family. 13 years later I still tear up when I read his story. Gone but never forgotten. Here.

Here. I tear up every year watching these videos.

I took my four year old to her first Football game last weekend against Sam Houston. We saw the team arrive, went to March in, met some friends at a tailgate, etc. We sat in the zone. She took a nap in the 2nd quarter, didnt like the cannon, but loved the band. And all the kisses.
But before the game we also went in to the MSC to check out the renovations. In the flag room was a big mural, sort of a pictoral history of bonfire. My wife, class of 98, spent a good ten minutes showing it to my daughter. I had to walk away. Even all of these years later and all of the life events I have faced, bonfire is still very emotional to me. I don't even like thinking about it. But I think about them all of the time.
