Believe it or not, this is the first time I have opened this thread or seen this picture. Thank you all for continuing to bring it to the top.

The hero and the angel are equally awe-inspiring. Chills down my spine.

September 26, 2000 is the last time sombody posted...

Let's bring it again to the top

I am so sad because I have visions of other situations that have befallen our esteemed University, wherein we have forgotten our heritage.. Do we not have a Traditions committee, which oversees important events and notable occurances of AMC. Perchance I am in error as to their duty. Enlighten me....

In memory of all affected by Bonfire '99

I'm kinda new to the board, but I'm just amazed that everyone here has kept this thread alive for so long. There are so many great posts on these 5 pages. I am sure many more will follow.

Fall'99 was my first semester as an Aggie. I met some Ags who got me involved with Bonfire and I fell in love. The camaraderie I found out in the woods is something that I have never experienced anywhere else in my life. I never met Tim or any of the others, but I still feel the unspoken bond we shared because of our mutual love for Bonfire.

If you spent every weekend out in the woods, you know exactly what I mean.

Rest, 12 Ags.

I still can't believe this threat is still up after all this time. It was one of the first posts I ever made as I was one of probably hundreds or more that registered with TexAgs after Bonfire fell.

I'm often tempted to take it down, but'll stay for now since I see new comers are just as moved by it as I was when I read it more than a year ago.

I just watched the Dateline segment (I taped it cause I worked last night).

Not too bad. Since they focused on John Comstock, and he's still pro-Bonfire, they couldn't really take a negative slant.

It was good to see how John's doing. He's living proof that God answers prayers.

John, you're still in my prayers. I can't wait to see you light stack in 2002.

Michelle Kerlee Fowler, I'm always impressed when I see one of your postings. Your strength amazes me. It must be from God.

Y'all have a wonderful day. May God continue to keep watch over us all.

I was there at 0630 this past Saturday, Tim. I prayed for you and for all of your comrades in the mist and gloom of that early morning on that somber field... May God bless you and your family and may we never forget. I assure you, I won’t….

Thanks to Shirley for hosting the photo.

Geocities is no longer allowing off-site links to point to images on their servers. I guess it'll stay up a bit longer.

One of the many things that caused me to tear up at the Bonfire site after it fell was a sign that had pictures of our fallen brothers and sisters that said something like this, "God needed a little help, so he called home 12 good Ags." Enough said.
