Not just on the city of Nagasaki, but almost directly on top of a Catholic church that was holding mass at the time. That detail tends to get left out of our history books.

Probably because they were eyeballing the city through a crosshair in a bomber miles above and it wasn't a guided bomb. If it landed almost directly on a Church it was dumb luck and/or part of God's plan.
