Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned an attack by Israeli settlers on two Jordanian convoys transporting humanitarian aid on their way to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, calling on the international community to also condemn the attack. The ministry claimed the Israeli government failed to protect the aid convoys, citing this as a gross violation of its legal obligations as an occupying power and its obligations to allow aid into Gaza.

Legit food and medical supplies aid should not be stoped where there are legitimate needs. I know it probably fattens some Hamas terrorists but the intent is to keep actual refugees from suffering needlessly and a lot of them are children and such who can't be held responsible for the actions of adults around them.

This is from the linked article....

According to Honenu, a legal aid service for Israeli soldiers and civilians, four men blocked the aid trucks going to Gaza as they were passing through the West Bank and were subsequently arrested by Israeli police. Despite the attack, the convoys reached the strip.

Our citizens are "attacked" every day by various nut jobs blocking road, airports, campuses. etc.... Pretty low bar for "attacks".

Terrible tactic when you are fighting a war. The enemy and their civilians should be cut off from all aid.

What did Sherman say, "War is Hell."

Make it fast and hard, may seem counter-intuitive but it is the most humane way to fight a war.

Apparently the Israeli police arrest their nutjobs. Unlike ours.

I'm sure that a fully loaded truck couldn't deal with 4 dudes bocking their way. Seems more like the truck drivers exercised some restraint despite being "attacked"

The more the Palestinians suffer, the stronger Hamas gets so they retaining food and medical supplies so that they can give them out piecemeal.

It is all about control.

Hamas uses the harm to Palestinians writ large as a propaganda play. They want their population to suffer because that is how they derive power as a means of spite and vengeance against the alleged perpetrators. Very subtly, it probably harms the power and influence of Hamas to have outside aid come in. Everyone there knows it. They all understand the situation deep down, at least those that are not completely ideologically possessed.

When it does down to it, the food and health aid to the general population from outside is a humanitarian necessity and it does remove pretext for Hamas propaganda, chips away at it a little.

At some point those people must be dealt with by the rest of those who live around them, and gestures of human compassion matter.

Four men stopped the convoy, they were arrested, and it continued on. Not exactly what I expecting by the OP's thread title……

This is exactly why no one should trust the media about the "genocide"... They use careful phrasing that allows gullible people to say "see, they are attacking aid to civilians, they are trying to starve innocent children and are the same as Hamas".

"The UN is either in the process or has by now recovered that aid, but it was an unacceptable act by Hamas to divert this aid to begin with," Miller says during a press briefing, adding that UNRWA will likely issue a statement soon condemning the incident.
I am sure the "condemnation" will be strongly worded, maybe even a "stern warning"

according to Jordan, a group of IsraelI settlers intercepted it as it was going through the occupied West Bank on its way to the newly opened crossing at that border. Jordanian officials say civilians threw food off the trucks and damaged three of the vehicles. The delayed convoy, missing some of its cargo, eventually crossed into Gaza from Erez, a border crossing reopened by Israel after U.S. pressure.

you are right that it was not nearly enough because hamas got it

The same aid convoy was later transferred to a humanitarian aid group to be distributed inside Gaza but was "intercepted and diverted" by Hamas, Miller said,

eta it also looks like more than four people were involved
