McCaffery has put his NC mansion up for sale.

I like the wall hangings in his garage gym.

And $12.5 million won't get anything near that big in CA.

In a somewhat related post I could imagine playing and living in the Charlotte area as one of the better options for NFL players. Not a big town, with easy access to live in the country and still being able to drive in to the field. Lower prices, not tons of traffic, etc.

The other side to the coin with that is smaller markets don't have as much to offer to players in terms of endorsements and off-field income.

I'm guessing he purchased it somewhere around 2020 which is when he signed his 1st big NFL contract. No doubt he'll be making a few million bucks on the appreciation of that place!
