He was #45 on Daniel Jeremiah's big board, he might have been the best player available on Dallas board

Well that's something I guess. Dane knows his stuff. I hated the pick but I don't study these guys. Pretty sure I even posted this earlier... didn't want to get my hopes up that Dallas would take a name that I knew.
But I still want Benson and the Mich LB. I wonder if they would have taken Coop if he wasn't gone already?

The problem is those aren't premium positions. They are the two least valuable positions in the league. It doesn't mean it's a bad idea to use a high pick on those positions, but buyer beware.

RB and LB were the 2 critical needs.
You have to use a premium pick (rounds 1 or 2) on at least one of those positions imo. I know nothing about the actual pick but those huge needs are still needs and the chances of a 3rd rd pick or later coming in and being a major playmaker in year one aren't great.

Exactly! Edge and Tackle are more likely to be gone if you wait.

Oof. I might as well accept us drafting another "who?" in a few picks. Doesn't mean it will be a bad pick, I'm just not gonna like it.

Kneeland was not making it past pick 60, much less to 73

On a different note, listening to the war room I learned that Greg Ellis is on our staff and was a big advocate of our 2nd rounder.
That's cool, Greg Ellis was always such a good player for us (Randy Moss be damned)

The ticket says that's a done deal. I have no idea why they are doing this.

Should have good options at C with the 2nd pick this round. Van Pran Granger, the Wisky guy, and the guy from PSU

You think? Only one other edge was taken between those picks.

They've been talking about him. He was a big time interior oline target for day 2. I'm sure he'll get a chance to compete at center and possibly replace Martin if that time comes soon.

Well don't know this dude either

Nasty, Fireplug, Strong, only 2 sacks in 3 years starting all over the line.
Cooper Beebe is everything Guyton isn't.bonfarr said:

Feeling RB with the next one. I think Overshown and more Micah at LB can address that, and you take some shots at LB in the 5th+

They actually have the only 2 sacks thing in common

This draft definitely makes more sense if they plan on standing up Micah more often. Cause I really felt like they should have made a better effort to get a LB.
