Mushroom attack in kids play space

I have a mulched-off area with trampoline, playhouse etc for the kids. With all the rain it's turning into a mushroom forest and I'm worried the 2 year old toddler or his friends will try to eat them. Any fungal treatments that are safe for kids but will get rid of the mushrooms?

6 mil black plastic. Add water and they get a slip n slide.
