South Texas too. Saw some buzzing around our esperanza blooms. We put a couple of feeders out and instantly had at least 10 or so jockeying for position.

I've had a few hummingbirds stay all summer, but in the last couple of weeks, we've gotten a lot more. I included a male and female painted bunting. They've been here for about a month. I have also seen a male and female Baltimore oriole, but I was only able to get the female's picture.

I've seen 3 ruby throats and a pair (one with way less coloring, almost gray like a dove?) of black chinned hummers so far in the last week at my parents place in Milam county.

They are late this year, but they're coming!
