Some of the not feeling anything was self-inflicted though, right? He retirement was very unceremonious. Credit to him for retiring on his own terms, but I'm sure he would have felt something more if he had a runway to his retirement on air.AgBQ-00 said:

Mentioning The Ticket (eg the competition) by name, number, and call letters multiple times in the opener is an interesting strategy.

Yeah, Mike isn't built to carry a new station from launch...I think his energy and gusto wanes after a couple months.
Sirios is greatness and I really wish he could be paired with someone in their prime (ideally at the Ticket) and this dilution of DFW radio talent didn't exist.
