sure...if you can be assured of convincing a guy to chase you down with a gun over a bag of stolen chips...you can commit the perfect crime.

Shouldn't there be other charges to the guy though? Why does a 17 year old have a handgun?

Obviously for 'protection' when he's robbing someone...

I'm guessing Sunnyside was some sort of garden spot back in the day, but I never see any good news coming out of there in modern times.

Arguing over parking at 2:30 in the morning? I know this bar well. Go monthly or so. The lot is plenty big for the area.

I always thought it was ironic. Like calling fat guys "Slim" or giant dudes "Tiny."

Nothing good happens after midnight, or for that matter anytime of day around Sunnyside.

Quote:

HOUSTON Starting Monday, April 22, the peak migration period will start for North American birds.
In the spring, roughly one in three birds will pass through Texas and most will travel at night. The reason is that lights can cause the birds to become disoriented and confused, which can cause them to fly into buildings. That is why businesses are encouraged to turn off all non-essential lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night.

Oooh. I posit the local Canadian Warbler will see the greatest benefit of these conscious proprietors.

"The suspect is described as a woman who is 5 feet tall with a medium build."

That's it! She doesn't stand a chance of escape now…. not with everyone on the lookout following this incredibly detailed description.

I was called racist at work for telling a guy that isn't from Texas to stay away from MLK when he went to Dallas, or anywhere else.

Back on track. The sheriff taking care of business again. This one got a shot off before they let the air out of him. Faster trigger needed I think.

People that stupid should not be on the police force and the fact that the city continued to back them up is proof getting people to admit they were wrong is next to impossible.

They authorized them to murder two people and their dog on Harding Street. This isn't a surprise.

I'm 9 minutes in and this attorney is unbelievably bad and one of these judges doesn't seem to suffer fools. This attorney is so bad and sounds like the stoner turtle on finding Nemo.

Appellate argument is super nerve-wracking and being on the wrong end of a hot panel's wrath sucks, but you have to prepare for that in every argument. You have to have the talking points for every tough question so that the justice moves on and lets you get back to your script. This guy didn't have anything.

You taxes at work.

The victim was a good guy from a good family. His sister was a good friend from A&M. Gotta be careful out there.

Damn, was hoping he made it. Awful.

Sad reminder to try to stay away from places where large concentrations of dumb poor people gather and, if you must go, to never engage them. Times are different. Nowadays, most of the people at these places had no real male father figures or role models growing up to teach them what lines not to cross.

I hate what this country is becoming.

Doh, you're right, I misread. That changes things, but I agree with your second statement.
