Machete was the whisperer. Bring back Maldonado. Don't matter that he can't hit, that wasn't his value. Bullpen is adrift with no captain.

This team is so bad that Mattress Mac won't even take anybody's money.

Guy, guys, guys. Look on the bright side. Our home record is better than our away record, finally.

We got ours....But it's over. Just enjoy this period of dominance we enjoyed for the better part of the last decade. It's something to tell our grandkids about. But it's over...back to wondering aimlessly through the wildnerness for years to come.

Is it too soon to start the Braden Montgomery watch?

I need to have some hope for what's trending to a pretty miserable season.

My bad on the Braden Montgomery watch. He'll be drafted in June and that draft order is set.

Let's do the Jace LaViolette watch for next June.

What's crazy is that we are only 5 games out of first place with how lousy the whole division is doing. We do have plenty of time to right the ship.

The Rangers had a horrible stretch and almost missed playoffs last year. Still won it all.

If a couple of guys pull their heads out then we can make a playoff run. We are also due to have some luck break our way and go on a winning streak.

I think we'll finish the year with a winning record.

1. At this point, I'm keeping Fubo for the outdoors tv channel package that YT tv doesn't have.
2. Maybe Tango Blast youngins will get the bullsh** "H" from the new Texans helmet rather than the Astros star logo.

Things that are funner to do in Houston than watch the Astros right now:

- listen to SJL talk
- Lick the sidewalk at the downtown Metro station
- swim nekkid in Sims Bayou
- canvas door to door in Sunnyside for the RNC
- pick up chicks at Rice University
- listen to someone talk about their Rodeo committee
- drive a car on or near the West Loop/59S interchange at any time of day
- attempt to take a 4oz liquid through IAH TSA
- listen to Lina Hidalgo talk

You crossed the line.

Nobody is picking up TRG's unless a pandemic specifically targets all other women.

I can vividly remember my time at Rice and there were maybe about 10 chicks total on the entire campus who would have been considered "hot" on any objective scale and at pretty much any campus in the country. And that's a pretty big "maybe."

I've had buddies who served in the Middle East talk about chicks who were "Iraq hot" meaning that they were actually usually uggos but there were no other options so a normal 4 might be an 8 or 9 in Iraq. Same scale would be applicable to Rice.

Fortunately, the chicks at UH loved Rice athletes.

1989...

Astros let Nolan Ryan head north and "replaced" him with duo of Rick Rhoden and Jim Clancy.

Rangers paid Nolan $1.8MM that season. Astros paid Rhoden/Clancy $2.125MM.

Nolan started 32 games, won 16 and was an All-Star that season. Rhoden/Clancy started 43 games and won 9.
