TM has started a series on the disappearance and death of teenager Tom Brown, of Canadian, Texas. They've done about 4 stories so far, dropping one a week.

Such a strange, sad, case. Don't know if the series will provide any answers, but it has covered a lot of ground that the media hasn't covered.

You can listen or read at the link below.

If you can't access TM, they will give you access if you sign up for an email newsletter.

One of the weirdest parts to me is who had the cellphone and planted it. Boggles my mind who would've done that.

Even when/if the grand jury convenes, I'm a little doubtful there will be many more answers.

Agreed, crazy story.

I think mom has the cell phone and planted it, but I'm not sure we will ever figure this out in our lifetimes

New update posted on the Podcast this week.

Evidently the DA decided not to convene a grand jury that was pending due to the lack of evidence. But the PI Kline will be making a presentation in Canadian on October 20th.

Will be interesting in what is released.

Texas AG office lists it as a cold case. Basically not enough information to determine whether it is a homicide, suicide, or other.

Interesting. It's no accident that they announced that on the eve of Klein's press conference this evening in Canadian. Looks to be at 6 pm.

Hollandsworth published a new podcast this week. It's fairly interesting, as the AG's office finally agreed to an interview, along with a follow-up on Kline's meeting in October.

Chris Samples with kxdj did another interview with an independent investigator this morning (audio will evidently be on high plains observer). He ends with some things I've heard from relatives from Canadian regarding the kid and his mom. Kid had mental problems. Liked to wear adult diapers (and use them). Suicide is unfortunately not that hard to fathom. Also mom is a sociopath based on some pretty bad stuff she did in college. They don't go into the details but I've heard about them from Canadian people. She was therefore capable of dumping the kids body at the lake to make it look like a murder after he killed himself. Probably the most believable scenario.

Goes with the theory that she planted the cell phone.

I'm trying to figure why Michael Crane is getting involved. Is he being paid by the former sheriff Nathan Lewis to clear his name, just trying to make a name for himself to generate other business, something else?

THE THOMAS BROWN INVESTIGATION: For those who have followed our reporting into the still-unsolved Thanksgiving Day 2016 disappearance and death of then-CHS senior Thomas Brown, we are posting two links to interviews with former state investigator Michael Crane that were conducted recently by KXDJ Radio's Chris Samples. Both of these interviews offer compelling information that contradicts the methods used and conclusions drawn by Philip Klein Investigations, the private investigator who was hired by Thomas Brown's mother, Penny Meek.

For those who have not already done so, we urge you to listen carefully and with an open mind to these interviews, as we have.

I believe that is the same interview as was linked to above. Here are a couple of new ones since then though:

KXDJ's Chris Samples had former state investigator Michael Crane on the Perryton Today Show on again Tuesday. In the second installment of the series, Crane digs deep into parts of Philip Klein's claims regarding the blood in the car, the use of luminol, and more.
