I bought my son a car before using all of the CarFax and AutoCheck searches I have available.

I think I have 2 searches remaining on CarFax and at least 10 on Autocheck, but I think I only have about 10 days left to run them.

A friend uses Reddit and Venmo for Car Reports.

Question: if you are in Texas and if in the past two years your car was damaged in a collision caused by another, did you call that person's insurance company that paid for repairs and ask about a "diminished value" settlement! I did and received a check in amount that the company determined was the loss of value. I did not make a formal claim. Friend did the same and got a settlement of just over $4100. This IMO is a little known right. Why is that? I know the answer to my question. It smells!

What the hell game is this? Used 2015 car with 120K miles on it.

Also, Carfax and Autocheck used to be my clients (I work in Automotive Software.) They get their data from a variety of sources, mostly from dealerships where they will get service data from them. They also integrate with a variety of service/body shops with the software they use. These integrations don't necessarily update their data in real time (Carfax and Autocheck get data feeds weekly from dealers.)
