Battery died today while at a stop light and I couldn't get it to go again until jumped by some very nice people. Everything worked fine - took to ORiellys to get a diagnoses and the said the alternator was good need to turn off the car to check the battery.

You can get it charged so I can get out of here?

Battery dead. Light and interior are still on and I can change from run to off etc. Went inside to see about a battery and they said we can sell it to you but can't install it. I said okay jump my car and I'll take my car home and park in driveway and come get battery tomorrow. They came out with some gizmo looked like a shape of a big bottle of antifreeze hookup to car and it doesn't work - tried again - then they brought out some way smaller device with what looked like a charger we would put on drill of something and tried it - my car freaked out and all lights everywhere flashing couldn't turn car to off. Interior lights flickering control panel saying weird things - car not in park, sensors not functional, etc……. They sent the manager out and he said my fault because I let them do this to the car and it's just my electrical system acting this way to the car battery being dead. Also said we can't help you cause you refused to buy the battery.

Called a friend - came over jumped the car the normal way and drove home to replace battery tomorrow. On way home noticed air conditioner will not come on. It worked after the first jump. After I replace the battery will it come on? Something special I gotta do to make it reset or something? I can find in manual. Fuse not blown.

Replacing battery tonight now and going to auto zone to buy the battery. Car is in driveway and will not restart without jump.

Replaced the battery - all things on middle console controls work except air conditioner.

I will check the IBS next - thank you for the heads up - red is not working - green is working

We checked a bunch of fuses.

Any update?

Two things:

1. Check to see if you have an aux battery. It may be bad

2. Letting it sit overnight often will fix these issues as the canbus re-establishes communication with all the modules.

I have replaced the battery from auto zone. I do have an aux battery but it tested positive - I think I reset the ibs correctly after looking it up by disconnecting it from the battery again and disconnecting power from the aux battery - still nothing - after reading some forums - it says it takes a while and then has to sit while the components reset? This process is lengthy it says. Read another forum and it said to start and stop with 8hours of rest in between up to 5 times before it calibrates.

I do see other things stating to "wake up". This is so weird and I have never been through this before.

Thank you for your help and I will keep trying until it is fixed.
