One of Texas A&M University's most meaningful traditions, Silver Taps is more than a century old and the hauntingly beautiful ceremony has evolved slowly over time. Tuesday's ceremony, the first of the semester, will remember one student.

The Association of Former Students delved deep into archival history and Aggie memory to create the special story we share today, which had never before been compiled into a full, written history.

The Association presents this research digitally for all to share, to grow in understanding and appreciation of this essential Aggie tradition.
