I think Fedora stole Hamilton's date one night in 1979 if I recall correctly....

Interview the man. I saw the ESPNU All-Access show on S.Miss and Fedora and came out of it impressed. Seen some interviews after the fact and very much like what he says and how he conducts himself. Then today we had a rare chance at a head to head with another one of our candidates and had a much more balanced offense, and a more complete defense.
The man's put together a very solid total squad while being the THIRD option in Mississippi.
Get the man a meeting!

After viewing the "8 Reasons", I move him to the top of my list. We need a younger fire in the belly coach.

He is the best bang for our buck. And, here is why.
1. He has texas ties being from C.S..
2. HC at Garland HS
3. coached at Baylor
4. coached at Okie St with Gundy
5. He currently coaches in SEC country.
6. runs off. similiar to ours.
7. has stolen a few recruits from some of the big boys in the SEC.
8. This will only get better here, larger school, competing in SEC and our facilities. 9. Either way he will be able to recruit both texas and SEC country.
10. As mentioned, runs similiar off and the recruits we have been picking up fit that scheme. As well as recruits signing in Feb so better retention rate possibilities.
11. He just beat the s**t out of Sumlin.
12. his base pay is only 650k
These points have to make him the best choice for our dollars. By the way Sumlin makes 1.35

Lost to Strong a year ago in Strong's first season at Louisville. If you're basing your love for Fedora on his victory over Sumlin, you should be consistent and prefer Strong over Fedora.

Everything I've read lately leads me to agree. Plus,he wears the all important visor....that seals the deal
Really I just hope we find a diamond in-the-ruff sort of guy regardless who he is

Yep - Sumlin "fired" before he got hired because he lost the conference championship. Typical!

He has impressed me. His team went quietly 10-2 regular season then bam, pounded Houston. He is worth an interview.

I think I just got on the Fedora bandwagon: The line that caught my eye:
"Fedora's greatest asset may be his ability to develop that position (quarterback)"
When was the last time a quarterback at TAMU really progressed over the 4 years (or 5) he was here???????

Worthy of serious consideration. I posted this on another link.
Quick rundown on google of Fedora.
Spent 6 seasons at Baylor, among other schools.
U of Florida, hired 2002, moved to OC 2004.
Okla State, 2005-06, OC. While there, offered OC job by LSU and Bama. Offered HC jobs at Air Force and Rice.
Given credit for developing QB Chris Leak at UF, Zac Robinson at Ok.St. (now in NFL). He also coached up his starting QB at So. Miss., who was a walk-on player. We saw what this kid did against UH yesterday.
Hired 2007 by So. Miss. Record 33-19.
Right now, among those considered for HC jobs at: Kansas, Ariz. St., Illinois.
