Fedora

The more I see the more I like. Imagine what he can do with A&M's resources (vs what he has to work with as the #3 Miss / CUSA).
He needs a look.

Fedora is the beet overall option. He is passionate about A&M, is a great offensive mind, is experienced in Texas recruiting, knows SEC country and most importantly he's extremely intense.

Fedora is a brilliant hire! Lets get it right this time. Remember when we had the opportunity to take Urban Meyer but we insisted on Fran. Fedora is the next big time name in college football. Get him now!!!!

No other candidate is as complete a hire as Fedora. If any of the listed candidates is our "Urban Meyer", he's the guy.
1. Successful HC experience without a losing season and improved records each of 4 seasons, including a conference championship.
2. Great, relentless recuiter with ties in both SEC and Texas, and has successfully recruited against SEC and BigXII schools. In 4 years he has signed 8 4* and 1 5* to USM.
3. Runs balanced, high scoring offense that emphasizes the running game.
4. Tough, physical defense currently ranked #31 in total defense, #10 in rushing def, and #9 in pass efficiency defense.
5. Offensive Coordinator experience in BigXII at OSU and SEC at Florida.
6. Grew up in College Station, "Gets A&M" and considers us his #1 dream job. Turned down interest from Arizona and an offer from Ole Miss for A&M job.
7. Fiery motivator.
8. Outstanding QB developer: took a walk-on QB and got him to break all of Bret Farve's records at Southern Miss and developed Zac Robinson at Oklahoma St.
9. Will likely not coach his bowl game, and come straight to A&M to ease player concerns and lock down our 2012 recruiting class.
10. Can get him cheap: only makes $900,000/yr and sees us as THE #1 job for him.
11. He wants to bring in Ron Zook and Joe Wickline as assistants. Zook is arguably the best recruiter in the country and Wickline IS the best OL coach in country who can also recruit well.

He sees us as his destination job, so we won't have to worry about him leaving if we hire him.

Fedora turned down a legit SEC offer already from Ole Miss who then had to fall back to Freeze. He won't take UNC or Arizona St. until he knows if he is the man for A&M. It is his dream job and he is holding out for it.

Yea, indications are that he turned down Ole Miss, which is ridiculously risky of him. Question is if he'll pass on UNC as well in order to wait for an A&M offer. If so, call off the search. A guy who's willing to turn down two relatively good programs in major conferences just for the opportunity of interviewing with A&M is enough to convince me.
That's the type of attitude I want as the face of our program.
