Is there any organizing efforts in the Woodlands/Conroe area? I have a lot to donate (washer/dryer nearly new, new mattress king size, couch with fold out bed, etc.)

+1 on not needing FEMA or any other federal help.
If they waited on them we'd still be waiting on the study to see what was needed and the committee to convene for an action plan.

Update 4/19, 10:12 a.m. From the Mayor of West, Texas, Tommy Muska:
“All the goods donated are wonderful but we have received so much, it has become a problem. At this time there are no real material needs for supplies.
