the fact that you got a Zoo thread to go ten pages in one day without posting a single hottie.

Here's a pic of Pinky after the Battle of Argonne Forest... chilling with the ladies on the beach:

WOW!!! For no particular reason, I didn't get on texags yesterday...got a lot of catching up to do. Thanks WHA, I look forward to going back and reading your posts, and anything else we are fortunate enough to experience through your willingness to share.

To be included in the telling or re-telling of Aggie history is truly an indescribable thrill for us all.

absolutely incredible.

Thank you for sharing. cant wait to see more!

Gone are the days when Texas had a team,
Gone are the days when Varsity was supreme,
Down in defeat before the Farmers bold,
We hear their roosters sadly moaning "take us home"

Poor Texas, poor Texas, for their heads are bending low
We hear the longhorns sadly moaning "Oh! Oh! Oh!"

Huh... go figure. I always heard that the current version we sing (with reference to the longhorns) was the "second" verse, and that the other lesser known verse was the original first verse. According to war hymn ag's pics... that isn't the case. Guess that's an old myth I've heard so much.
"Goodbye to texas university..." is the second verse, but was written first, and is the original. When the rarely sung "first verse" was written, years after the verse we sing to this day, I guess Wilson made it the first verse so it would lead in to the popular original verse.
It was confusing to write that, so I hope it reads ok.

It's been documented and proven that "Gig 'Em" was used prior to the legendary TCU pep rally, yet the debate continues.

Doesn't matter. The tradition of telling the story as TCU based is set in stone. Kind of like the fake uncover tradition.

I always took the pep rally story to be the origin of the Gig'em hand sign, not the term itself.
