Wow! Imagine the Bull Sessions that must have gone on around that footlocker! I also kinda wonder what Pinky had locked inside during hole inspection...

Has anyone noticed that there appears to be a music staff above the lyrics, and that the notes on the staff wouldn't match the way the war hymn is currently performed?
Makes you wonder if Pinky maybe heard it differently than the way most of us are familiar with hearing it today.

WestGalvestonAggie,
George Fairleigh helped with the notes. I think that he was the FTAB director at that time.

Thanks so much for sharing your incredible Aggie treasure. My husband is stationed in Germany now (USAF), and we do not live far from the Rhine. The letter your grandfather sent home was simply amazing...

My father went to t.u. Class of '70. He was present at the tower shooting, and to hear him describe it just brings tears to your eyes. I only bring that up because that is something memorable from his time at t.u. albeit very disturbing, that he can share with us.
My grandfather was a die hard Ag. He would have loved to attend Texas A&M, but he was in love with the sea and joined the Navy to fight in WWII right out of high school. He died back in '96. Well, my grandmother recently passed and so naturally we had to go through all of her possessions. What we found brought tears to my eyes again. It wasn't on par with what WHA has discovered, but it was about as badass as you can get for WWII photos.
I was the first in my family to attend Texas A&M. I knew there was something special about this place and that's why I chose to come here instead of t.u.
I'll wrap this up by saying that WHA, what you have found is truly remarkable. Cherish it always my Aggie brother...

No....
It's half white, half maroon... all the cdets are holding something up; but the maroon doesn't come through on the left side of the T.

I've got to get in on this. I kinda see the Ring, the trunk, and the slip of paper as equals of greatness.

If that 1921 A&M/baylor picture was taken at the Cotton Palace, then you have an idea of the site of the 1926 fight between the Cadets and Cubs.
Also that 1921 team was the one that played in the Dixie Classic on Jan 1, 1922.

Maybe if someone digs up the first Reveille and clones her for our next mascot, they could pull even with War Hymn Ag.
You actually think this isn't already being done?
