Also that 1921 team was the one that played in the Dixie Classic on Jan 1, 1922.
Cue WHA posting a photo of "Pinky" Wilson helping EKG put his football gear on and this thread will end the internet.

WHA, thank you for sharing. As a former FTAB member (as many posters here are) this stuff is especially close to my heart. I plan to make the trip to see when you decide how to get it preserved and displayed.

Also.. as a collector of stuff (I collect sports cards).. PLEASE make this available to Texas A&M alumni, family and friends in the new KYLE FIELD museum. Really cool stuff. Belongs to Texas A&M.

Is it dramatic irony that OPs handle is "war hymn aggie"

sharing a few more with ya'll....my grandpa (or my Mimi) spent the time to make a couple of scrapbooks of his life before he passed. Stuff in them are AMAZING! Childhood pics, A&M pics, WW1 pics, Father pics, Golden Era pics, interviews... I've learned several things that shed a new light on what I thought was "the truth" about the story behind the making of the Aggie War Hymn.
Here ya go...original A&M baseball "cards" from the early-mid teens:
My grandpa & "Rip" Collins, the guy who gave "Pinky" his nickname.
A&M days:
Got lots more to share, but need to go for now....

OK...1 more....
Top left may be my grandpa leaning over the trunk that was previously posted. Top left is a postcard from the 1919 National Championship football squad. Unscored upon. WHOOP!
Bottom is a pic of my grandfather with one of his brothers and his mother. Pic was taken in 1906 and Pinky is the one holding up the pet Raccoon.

You can't zoom even after clicking on the picture, which brings it up on a new page?

Thanks for the reminder. It does work, but is more cumbersome than it needs to be.
Not as bad as image search on Google, though. What a cluster that change has been, and Google still sticks with it.
Back to the thread, though. No hijacking this piece of history. (Saying this at myself.)
