This site broke a scandal!!!!!!
Texas A&M and Miami have met once on the gridiron with the Aggies handing the Hurricanes their worst loss in Miami history, 70-14, in the 1944 season.
This fall Coach Fran will make the naysayers and chronic bedwetters in the media and on the internet look silly. I'll be riding on the FranWagon as it rolls into Glendale next January.

Wow, what a find.
Keegan got it right and doesn't need to apologize. The other guys do.
Hopefully aggiegrant took further steps of alerting OU and/or the media. I don't like investigative journalism occurring in real time on public message boards. The same thing could happen at A&M when we become a high profile top 10 program again IMO.

By the way Keegan, you sure were harsh about the illegality aspect of this. Against NCAA rules and against the law are not the same.

That is great!
I wonder if TexAgs is where the story leaked out from or did this kid put a little money in his bank for contacting the right people as in the press?

Texas Aggies.

I made three posts on this thread. The first declared that it was most definitely illegal.
The second recommended to the poster to document as much as possible.
The third explained why any reasonable person would be somewhat skeptical, and suggested a course of action for proper reporting of the improprieties.
What do I need to apologize for, exactly?

Yes, I'm aware of the distinction. I used the word 'illegal' in the context of NCAA regulations. The word 'illegal' is not restricted to governmental statutes. For example, when a ref throws a flag for 'illegal touching', I don't expect the cops to show up on the field and cuff a player

how many players received checks????
aggiegrant only singled out Bomar, a third string lineman (most likely Quinn) and a walkon.
This hurts the accusations that 20-25 players were supposedly working there, unless they just all weren't working there at the same time, or his girlfriend didn't see all the paychecks.

Wow! This is totally crazy! If the NCAA does not take a look of their own into OU, this would be just ludicrous.

I think this qualifies for me as the best post ever on texags. Yes, even better than OA_98's "maddog has problems with the arch".
