My office is located on the first floor of Rudder Tower, so I see Dr. Gates walk by at some point almost every day, with a smile on his face. I think I will miss that the most. Dr. Gates, it's only a 2 year appointment. . . right?

Dr. Gates our prayers go with you are you assume a position of service to our country at a critical time in our history.

We are proud to have you as the President of the University while both of our daughters passed through A&M. We have you giving them their diploma. A moment in their lives that you will share with them throughout their lives.
