The Florida St. squad we play on Thursday has 4 players on their country's current World Cup roster. They are the only school with more than one.

Big opportunity for us Thursday. I'm looking forward to it. It should be fun.

The Seminoles are the only team in the country to have multiple current collegiate athletes on a World Cup roster. The four current athletes include Maria Alagoa (Portugal), Jody Brown (Jamaica), Onyi Echegini (Nigeria) and Heather Payne (Ireland).

And it seemed like that would never change. It's wild how Florida fell off completely.

Chris Henderson of All White Kit put out a national ranking and has us at No. 20 with the following comment:

"In a season where a lot of their SEC rivals will be losing many of their 2022 starters, the Aggies come back with a whole lot of continuity ahead of the new year. The key to a title push might be the transfer addition of Sam Smith, who excelled at Boston College in the attack despite an absence of consistent weapons around her. If the likes of Mia Pante and Quinn Cornog keep developing, the Aggies could be the last team standing in the SEC."

It's just me, memorializing the goal of the season.

Sorry, have no faith in this year's team. Is it the coaching? I have no faith in the back line. I'm yelling at the TV at the start of TCU's final attack on our goal and NOBODY picks up the player with the ball. It is too frustrating to watch this team's inability with what is supposed to be very good talent. If we have the good talent, we should not be having these late defensive breakdowns. Yes, coach G has been here ~30 years. Maybe we need new blood like we did in softball, women's basketball, and volleyball. Coach G has been very good to and for this school but I think it is time to pass the torch to a new younger coach. The talented girls on this team deserve more than what I am seeing on the field.

would love to see Pante moved onto the back line to solidify the defense. she has a relentless motor, athletic and wins almost every ball w/in 5 yards (see the defensive play she made on the TCU forward to recover for the corner defender that got beat in the 2nd half). been watching her play an attacking role for some time. it's not her game. she is not a finisher nor creator. she is a spectacular ball winner and played defense for the canada u20s.

give smith those minutes on the attack. she was successful at BC in the tough ACC. moving pante also gives smith the minutes to make a consistent impact.
