I'm amazed that we have a Newcastle thread this year. Love it!

Man City plays Sevilla today and will only have 2 days rest before our game at the weekend. They will most likely be missing KDB so it may be our best chance to beat them this season. 4 points from these next 2 games would do wonders for us this season.

After some early pressure, Newcastle playing well. Have had a couple of good chances.

The result yesterday was disappointing but not unexpected. We really looked toothless in attack for much of the game. City really outclassed us. I'd say Big Joe and Bruno really didn't play well. Surprisingly enough our subs came on and really made an impact. For a little stretch there in the 2nd half I thought we were going to bag an equalizer.

The positives going forward are that even though we didn't play well we still hung in with the top team in the world. Got to regroup and go again next weekend against a tough Liverpool side.

Alexander-Arnold should have picked up a 2nd yellow 6 minutes in. But you know a ref can't give a second yellow this early or some such bull*****

And this ref is losing control. They are all testing him now that he didn't hand that 2nd yellow out.

My biggest indictment against Eddie so far in his tenure is his inability to close out games against big clubs. Last year we got 1 win against teams that finished above us. We had a chance to close out a huge win but instead crapped the bed. Really really disappointing

NUFC needs a true finisher. They can dominate games (like today) but seem to have a hard time making it show in the score.
