Riley is in the zone!

Riley…my word.
I was just joking with my kids that Riley is about to homer in his 5th straight game. He did not disappoint!

Not a good last couple of innings for Arcia.
9th inning got interesting. Glad Wall got into a game. Solid outing for Winans.

Had to know we were going to hit a rough patch at some point.
Good thing is, Marlins and Phillies aren't playing much better, so they aren't gaining anything.

Elder had a bounce back game. Bullpen was lights out.
Ozzie with the big, clutch 3-run homerun in the 8th to give the Braves the lead and the win.

Looks like we will end up with 20 of 21.

Anyone watching the game?
I am and i can't figure out what the umps are calling in the first inning. Ended the Braves side and for the life of I can't figure out what happened. I don't even know how to explain it and the announcers are confused too.
Bases loaded. Ozuna hits a ball their 2nd baseman short hops but i think the umps called a catch. Everyone tags up. He steps on 2nd and then throws an errant throw to first. All runners advance. Then the umps talk about it for 5 plus minutes and call Murphy out as he was advancing to second. The pitcher then throws the ball to 3rd and they call Olson out who had advanced from second.....maybe they are saying Riley didn't tag at third.....no idea

Following (or trying to follow) on Gametracker. One thing is saying Ozuna got a RBI hit…other one saying he liked out to 2nd???

I watched it and still have no idea what happened. Snitker didn't seem upset about the call though.

Announcers just got the explanation and it matched my theory above.
Need a replay as I'm almost certain it wasn't a catch

Albies scored on Murphys hit. That tweet isn't correct. And it was ruled a catch the whole time. That dude doesn't know what he's doing.

I just read that infield hits (catch/no catch) are not reviewable…only in the outfield. Never new that.

That would be the only explanation on why we didn't challenge it. Sucks they hosed us

Man these umps are out for us today.
Blew another call at first. Acuna beat it by 3-5 feet and they called him out
Call overturned

Game has a very weird feeling to it tonight. Screwy calls, terrible calls, rain delay, pitchcomm malfunctions….

My 10 year old at the Midland Rockhounds (Oakland AA affiliate) game earlier this week.

I have some great memories from Thirsty Thursdays at the Rockhound games. It might be the only thing I actually miss after leaving west Texas.

Nice recovery from a rough trip to Boston with the Milwaukee sweep (I like the novelty of how the last two opponents reside in the former home cities off the Braves). That's the offense we're wanting to see. Ozuna came back to life in this series in a big way. We know he's gonna be streaky... Let's just hope this one lasts a couple of weeks, and then we get another hot streak from him in October.
Lots of contenders making trades lately. Fried will be back soon, so hopefully he's in good form and they'll be adding a topline starter that really hasn't even contributed to the team's success thus far (without giving up any prospects). Plus Minter will be back soon, which is much needed. Still want to see them go get Hader and a RH left fielder. I'd still like another SP, but not sure what is left.

Braves trade Hearn for Nicky Lopez as Inf depth. Minter back up and Culberson DFA'd.

Albies had his forth triple today. Who would have expected Olson to be tied with Harris and ahead of Acuna in this category?

How many does Olson, like two? I remember watching one. He ain't exactly the definition of graceful speed.
I think Acuna sometimes settles for singles that could be doubles so that he can steal.
